The Bible is God’s Word. It is His truth, His love letter to humanity. Alive and active, the Word of God is a compass, a light to our path in a world of darkness and confusion.

It is important that early on in the faith journey to help your child become familiar with the Bible and understand that it is accessible.

Why? Because:

  • The Bible is a revelation of God.
  • It is a record of Jesus Christ.
  • God talks about a lot of important issues: finances, communication with each other, family relations.
  • We learn about what God defines as right and wrong.

If we become distant or disengaged from the Word of God, we deprive ourselves and our children from the vital information it contains about God and life.

There are more blessings associated with the Word of God than anything else at our disposal.

  • Wisdom
  • True riches
  • Guidance
  • Stability
  • Joy in stressful times

In a culture where all kinds of behavior and actions are being justified, it is crucial to equip our children with the basis of God’s Word. As you build a Biblical foundation, you’re helping them understand what God says. Upon that foundation they can live a life grounded in truth rather than the subjectivity of what they think or their friends think.

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Matthew 7:24 NIV
