Mission Overview

Kasr El Dobara Evangelical Church (KDEC) is our partner in Cairo, Egypt, and is the largest evangelical church in the Arabic-speaking world. Lake Pointe partners with KDEC through compassion, sports, medical and the Cairo Festival.

Desired Skills
Medical professionals, preferably in emergency or internal medicine, however any specialty is welcome. Medical clinics are performed daily seeing multiple patients with varying diseases. Compassion and evangelism teams visit families in their homes, sharing the Gospel and providing necessities.

Coaches or previous players of various sports who will lead campers in daily skills sessions, serve as game and activity facilitators, and assist with other camp activities. High ropes and climbing wall experience is a plus but not required.

Cairo Festival

Team members will participate in the preparation and operation of the Cairo Festival, the largest evangelical outreach event in the Middle East. Participants will assist in many different ways including working with kids, facilitating high ropes and climbing wall activities, and assisting with other event activities. Mission Overview

Our partnership with All Souls Baptist Church in Accra, Ghana started in 2006.Teams have the opportunity to participate in medical clinics, village evangelism, church planting, and construction projects.

Medical Mission Trip

Skills Needed
PAs, NPs, EMTs, nurses, physicians, dentists, pharmacists, pharmacists’ helpers, Christian counselors, children’s ministry or sports ministry workers. This team will travel to several different villages providing medical care clinics (over 400 patients per day), and a children’s ministry program. Team members will serve long hours and endure hot temperatures.

Mission Overview

PORT SHEPSTONE
Through our partnership with Norwegian Settlers Church, we are able to care for children affected by HIV/AIDS. Our efforts are focused on the communities in and around Port Shepstone, South Africa. This community is among the most impacted by HIV/AIDS and has the highest rate of HIV/AIDS infection in all of South Africa and the world.

In 2010, Lake Pointe began a partnership with Westville Baptist Church in Durban, South Africa. Durban was one of the host cities for the 2010 World Cup. Durban is a large coastal metropolitan area with a population of 3.5 million.
