Support Groups
Lake Pointe Counseling Center Brochure
Support groups are small groups of people interested in the support of others who
are facing similar challenges. The groups are structured around the topic, led by
trained facilitators, and are a great resource for building relationships while
growing through life’s challenges.

Childcare is provided for all groups at no cost Birth-5th grade, 7 pm - 9 pm

Fall Groups begin September 5, 2013
Divorce Recovery Interim Care
Support group meeting during the summer for those going through a divorce or separation anticipating a divorce to receive encouragement during this time. Meets every other Thursday at 7 p.m. beginning May 16. Rm. W220
Grief Support (Ongoing)
A support group for those who have lost a loved one. Open each week to new members.

Cancer Support Group (Ongoing)
For those diagnosed with cancer to receive encouragement, education, resources, and periodic special speakers.

Infertility Support
For those who need support and encouragement for their journey through infertility.

Family and Friends of Those Incarcerated Support Group
Are you a family member or friend of someone who is incarcerated? Please know that you are not alone. One in four people have a family member or friend that is incarcerated.
Meets second Tuesday of each month • 6:30 pm • Annex C
First Place 4 Health
This 12-week program emphasizes weight loss and living a balanced, Christ-centered life. Orientation meetings are required to participate and will be held on the following dates at the Rockwall Campus:

Recovery For Life

Using a Christ-Centered, 12-Step program approach, Recovery for Life addresses
life-controlling issues such as substance abuse, codependency, dysfunctional
relationships, and sexual purity.

Substance Abuse Group
For those struggling with life-controlling additions such as drugs, alcohol,
prescription medication, etc.
Codependent/Troubled Relationships Group
For those struggling with recurring emotional, relational, boundary issues, or
an addiction to a person.
Faithful and True
For men involved with pornography, affairs and/or sexual addiction seeking after
sexual purity.
Restored and Redeemed
Support group for women spouses who are seeking and healing from the effects of betrayal.

Professional Christian Counseling
When facing life’s deeper and more difficult issues, the Bible recommends that
we seek wise counsel. Lake Pointe meets this need by providing onsite,
Christ-centered professional counseling. Both male and female counselors are
available. Fees are lower than comparable services in our community. For further

Stephen Ministry
A one-on-one care giving ministry. Trained, caring believers reach out through
listening, prayer, and support to those going through a tough time. For a

Building A Better Marriage
Next Seminar: September 7 | Rockwall Campus
Presented two times a year, this three-and-a-half-hour seminar is for married
and pre-married couples. Presenters include:
