Stephen Ministry
In our fast-paced, increasingly impersonal world, it feels great to have someone
who will:
- Really listen
- Take time to care
- See you through a tough time
- Provide encouragement instead of advice
- Be a loving, caring friend
- Faithfully pray for you
That person is available. He/She serves as a Stephen Minister, named for Stephen
in the New Testament who was dedicated to the care and service of others. Stephen
Ministry provides care for those dealing with:
- Grief and Loss
- Life Transitions
- Relationship Problems
Stephen Ministers are lay caregivers who receive more than 30 hours of training
in Christian caregiving and are carefully matched with care receivers by gender
and pertinent life experiences. They are gifted servants who are commissioned by
and supervised by the church and who work in strictest confidence.
